	You may know that I am also a published fiction author. I write as Marilu Mann for Ellora's Cave. I write erotica. I am not willing to be swept under a rug by this inane censorship. What is Amazon Rank? What does it mean? If you read anything Amazon deems as "adult", it means you won't find your favorite books in the "top lists". Here's what Amazon's Customer Service told author Mark Probst who writes YA gay fiction not erotic and not adult. In consideration of our entire customer base, we exclude “adult” material from appearing in some searches and best seller lists. Since these lists are generated using sales ranks, adult materials must also be excluded from that feature. Check out what SmartBitches has to say about this so-called Amazon Rank and check out #amazonfail on Twitter. Why am I doing this? As SmartBitches points out <blockquote>The goal: that “Amazon Rank” points to the definition that underscores Amazon.com’s shortminded censorship and inconsistent policing of what ought to be accessible to the book buying public.</blockquote>

Japanese Mermaids Don’t Sing

Sometimes I see glimpses of her
-- Flashes of gold red black white --
Koi under lily pads floating cover.
Diving the depths again alone,
She’s a Japanese mermaid
Afraid to comb her hair any more.
Dropped her precious silver mirror
Shattered
On his rocky stone cold heart.

Shall she attempt the pain again?
Divide her legs. Let her heart bleed
As she walks into love once more.
Mute because she gave it away
To the wrong handsome prince.
Or would it be better safer calmer
To dive again into that sea welcoming
Dark depths to hide her self that light
